In order to assist those at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nike is crafting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) face shields from repurposed materials for footwear and apparel.
Nike internal Innovation and Air Manufacturing Innovation teams have developed nine step process for the full-face shields. These protective equipments are created form Nike owned materials, for example, collar padding used on the shoes, cords from the clothing, and Nike Air Sole’s TPU component.
